Conceptualization & Design
Understanding comes first!
Before a single line is drawn, we take the time to understand your book, its message, tone, and who it's meant for. This step is not about drawing yet, but about discussing ideas. Our creative leads sit down with you and your manuscript and begin the process. We look at your genre, your audience's age group, and the kind of experience you want to create for your readers. Whether you're aiming for something whimsical, realistic, eerie, or colorful, this is where we pin it down. Sample references, color palettes, and illustrative styles are also explored. Finally, using brainstorming, mood boards, and concepts, we create the basic foundation for your project.
This stage is very important, as it sets the tone for the rest of the project!
